Reservation Worksheet and reserving on Purchase Order

In the last BC 23 release, Microsoft has released the Reservation Worksheet. In this worksheet it is possible to reserve in bulk on Inventory.
Does anyone know if it is also possible to make reservations on purchase orders using this worksheet?
Is this on a BC roadmap?

Any help is welcome..

Hi, there is no detailed information yet. It is expected that the release plan for 2024 release wave 1 will be released at the end of next month. It may also be mentioned there. You can pay attention to it.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

Seems like nothing has been released in this regards. An additional row with open purchase qty could also be very useful.

Anybody knows something if some improvements are planned here?

It seems the out of box function is to reserve against available inventory qty. Maybe consider a customization?

I also have a similar need (in our case I would like to reserve from a Transfer Order).

This functionality is possible on a Sales Order line, but it would be very time consuming for orders with lots of lines, therefore the Reservation Worksheet would be a much better solution.

This would be extremely helpful when reserving inventory quite in advance, for example for pre-season orders that are taken half a year in advance. Alternatively, we need to wait for the inventory to arrive to reserve it, which is not ideal.

Any way to "suggest" or request this feature?

    Thanks

The Reservation Worksheet (in its current form) only creates Reservations to existing Inventory.

Depending on how you run your Inventory Planning (aka Planning Worksheet), the system can automatically reserve supply suggestions to existing demand.  It actually does this automatically for both Lot-for-Lot and Order policies.  The Lot-for-Lot is a soft reservation, where the Order policy is a hard reservation.

If your supply is based on a stock level, there is no direct link between supply and demand.  In this case, Reservations should only be needed if you're trying to ensure top customers are guaranteed supply.

Please, consider voting for this Microsoft Idea!
I think think the Reservation Worksheet could benefit by having this functionality.
