SSRS report : Style template only for AutoDesign ?

Hello,
 
Is Style Template in SSRS report only works for Auto Design ?
When create SSRS report at the first time, I directly created PrecisionDesign, then after a while I want to make it displayed in alternating row colors, But when I change / fill in the property Style Template to TableStyleAlternatingRowsTemplate, compile and Deploy the report. This new setting didn't applied.
