How to remove Red "orphan" permission when they remain even after User Group was removed.

Hi All,

I saw a similar issue affected another user in v19, but did not have the same details as this issue (in v20).

Our customer complained these red perimisions sets can not be deleted. We tried removing the User Groups associated, refreshing the page, and moving to other users. The permission sets cannot be removed. The error says they belong to an existing user group, but you can cleary see this group is gone. Has anyone experienced this and has the steps to remove the permissions?

Thanks in advance

I forgot to thank you for your answer, we are still working on this. I'll update the thread once we find the solution, even if we end up escalating this to Microsoft.

Hi, I have encountered such a problem before, and it could be deleted directly without any errors.

The same is true in the link below.

If it still cannot be deleted, as mentioned by Marco, it is recommended to contact Microsoft.

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Interesting, but I did not see this before. If you are in SaaS, feel free to raise it to Microsoft via your partner or CSP. If you are using OnPrem, please ask your partner to take a look at this issue.

    Thank you.
