Auto numbering skips values

Hello All,

I am using Auto Number Manager by Jonas Rapp from XrmToolBox to populate my "Complaint Number" field as I did not want to use the OOTB field "Case Number".

I am facing a problem that suddenly both number skip the same number of values as the following screenshot:

As you can see it was working fine until it jumped from 108 to 155 (47 values in 10 minutes) then from 155 to 205 (50 values in 4 minutes) and this behavior occurred again several times.

Can anybody help me find the reason for this issue and how can I use the skipped values without case number repetition?

    Have you corrected this somehow? I'm having the same situation with different entity. Lot of numbers are skipped with auto numbering.

    I do, It is ok for while and after 2 or 3 day the problem strat again,

    Hi,

    Please try by resetting auto number field and import the records.

    HI, I have the same problem, and users does not delete . do you have any solution?

    As both the auto-number, and the inbuilt case number are skipping the same number of values, the most likely cause is if something / somebody is creating additional cases, and then either deactivating or deleting them. If you enable audit on the case entity, this could provide more information
