Mass update record in a view

Hi,

What are the possible ways through which i can mass update records in a view?

I know that through advance find bulk edit we can update 250 records max.

By view i mean like 'Active Contacts" view, in which we can have many thousands records.

Scenario 1: Mass update all records coming in Active contacts view

Scenario 2: After applying filtering of records in the same view, mass update all records.

please let me know we can achieve both scenarios mention above.

Thanks

    Thanks I already know this.

But i want to give this mass update capability to application user and not system administrator.

    Thanks

    Hi,

You can use an on-demand Workflow and process all the records within a view with this tool: Bulk Workflow Execution

    Hi Jeff,

I would choose to update many thousands of records in batches through Excel export and import.

Step 1. Create a new personal view of Contact to filter the records that need to be updated. This view contains only the columns that need to be updated, and the 'Full Name' column, without any unnecessary columns.

Step 2. In the new view, click Export to Excel > Static Worksheet.

Open the Excel and edit the data. Do not modify the data in columns A to C, and make sure that columns A to C in each record contain data.

Step 3. Import the Excel to D365.
