Bin Type Code Error

Hi there,

I have been trying to create a Bin code to move item required for quality inspection, however, I cannot block user to pick from that bin code. I have been also set Bin Type Code to avoid picking but it also still giving me error and I can't set it up.

Bin Type Code must be equal to '' in Bin: Location Code=MAIN, Code=INSPEC. Current value is 'TEST'.

    Hi Mohana, I have created a Bin Type Code where picking is not allowed, however I can't apply the "bin type code" to the respective bin. The bin type code is set a put away bin so I can use the bin only for inspection purposes.

    Mohana's reply is verified as an answer, but it is not an answer at all.
     
    I have the same issue as the OP.
     
    Receiving this error message when trying to set a Bin Type Code to a Bin:
    Bin Type Code must be equal to '' in Bin: Location Code=MAIN, Code=INSPEC. Current value is 'TEST'.

    You can only use Bin Types if your location is using directed put-away. More information here Set Up Bin Types - Business Central | Microsoft Learn
     
     
    If you're location doesn't have directed put-away enabled, you will get an error message when you try to select a bin type.
