Blank Page on Report

ReportReport

I know there are a lot of posts, questions and answers related to blank pages in reports... but I'm at a complete loss now.

I have a report, with no Header or Footer, that prints a complete, 100% blank white page after every printed page.

Printing on letter paper (landscape): 11in, 8.5in

Report is set at: InteractiveSize: 11in, 8.5in / Margins: .25in, 0in, .25in, 0in / PageSize: 11in, 8.5in

Body of Report is: 9.57997in x 6.4918in (even with margins it fits well within the page)

I have no idea why the second page is printing. I've attempted to reduce all sizes even more, and even made the page size smaller than letter size paper... which doesn't work, and I end up with 3 blank pages for every 1 printed page.

Very frustrating, tried multiple solutions/suggestions from other posts, but nothing is working.

    Hi

have you got a rectangle in the report RDLC, that is pushed beyond the page width setup? I only ask because I have had this several times.

Make Sure that the total body width is equal or smaller than paper width minus left margin minus right margin.

The total body width is determinded not by the printable content (such as the last vertical line of your table), but of everything visible, even the empty space on the right. Drag the right list border to the left, and then drag the right body margin to the left.

Unfortunately, as the image shows, with the rulers, the total body width is just over 8.5in. Let's call it 9in for safety.

The margin is set to .5in on the left and 0in on the right, so total body width is 9.5in, print page size is set to 11in on width. There should be plenty of room, and nothing runs off the page anywhere.

Same with height. Just under 6in, with a .5in top and 0in bottom, yielding a grand total of 6.5in height on an 8.5in page size height.

I should have 2in of bonus room around the entire base form. Most things we print only utilize 2 rows of text.

My problem was pretty much similar. Looking at report 7301 the rectangle right hand border is right on the edge of the page frame. If you extend the page frame right a little, then bring the rectangle in a little to the left. reset, move your right page frame back with the margin parameters.

    What happens?

Also have you got Preview mode on Print layout? So you are seeing the correct breaks in preview?

I slide the body to the right, and the list contents/table elements to the left, so they weren't right on top of the page frame. Still prints two pages.

I do not have a Print Layout mode on the Print Preview, however, when I do a print > preview from NAV client, it shows Page 1 of 2? (with the ?).

    Hi guys,

I experienced that NAV RDLC struggles when you have unused space gaps on the right edge of your Body Frame with no content in it. I would suggest to have as less free space as possible on the right Frame/border as NAV might render this space in addition to auto-grown fields so if you don´t need the space there please remove it by reducing both frames (the one from the rectangle and the body itself) to the minimum left to ensure no spacing in between. The page itself will keep the size as you´ve defined it in the page properites even if the space is not used in RDLC layout design.

Additional neccessary space margin to the right can be created with page margin properties if required.

Also do you might have a "page break at end" set on any properties of your frame/rectangle?

Thank you. Although my print preview in NAV client still says 1 of 2? pages. It only prints 1 page now. I removed all unnecessary white space from the borders.
