re-print pay stub

In GP Dynamics 2010 you can now re-print a pay check or earnings statement.  I can do it when logged in as "sa" but not as a user.  How can I grant the permission to do this to my HR director and Payroll Clerk?

Granting access to these items could be handled in one or two different methods.

    1. Modify an existing task, adding the security item you want, which should be attached to a role already given to a user.

    2. Create a custom task like below, selecting only the item(s) you want to grant access, then attach the task to a custom role or common role such as PAYROLL CLERK*.

I believe the Reprint Pay Statement is attached to Task CARD_0506*, which is attached to the PAYROLL CLERK* role. However, some items I have found at times are not attached at all, not often but if you are unsure there is a report you can run to see unassigned security operations.

As for the "earnings statement", if you are referring to Direct Deposit Statement of Earnings, this security object is attached to Task TRX_PAYRL_004* which is attached to the Role PAYROLL CLERK*. So if you have that role selected for your user(s) in question they should be able to access it.

If I can be of any further assistance please let me know, hope this information helps.

One other suggestion for you with regard to troubleshooting security and access problems. I always find it helpful to have a test account of some sort in which you can copy security from the user having the issue to the test user. Then login under the test user account and test. The "sa" login along with any user account, with "Super User" access, are not ideal for security and access testing because they have broad reaching access automatically.

    Thanks
