Quote Product - Percentage Mark Up on Product Cost

Hi All,

This is my first time posting here so hopefully someone can help me :)

I have a requirement that involves being able to apply a percentage markup (not discount) at the  quote product line level.

I know this is available out of the box when using price lists and a pricing method of 'Percentage Markup - Current Cost' however there is no way to override or change these values per quote product line. I been looking into changing the views but with no luck to both; the correct relationships not being available (Quote Product, Price List Item, Product) and breaking the Inline edit view.

Ultimately users need the functionality to be able to see a products current cost value when adding a product to a quote. they then need to be able to apply a markup percentage to the quote product which updates the line and quote totals.

If you know of a suitable way I can customize to make this functionality possible I would be very grateful :)

Kind Regards

Bradley Ash

    Hi Bradley,

Unfortunately, you cannot customize or create new inline editable subgrid.

You can develop through SDK or try any third party tool.

However, if you want to apply a percentage markup in the total value, maybe you can create a numeric field to fill the percentage desired (decimal format), and another calculated field to make the calculation: total value - (total value * percentage).

    Hi Flavia,

Thank you for your reply :)

The first problem is that these percentage markups need to be per quote product, and secondly they need to be applied to the product current cost, which is not present on the quote product.

If you have an ideas on a workaround or a way I can resolve this I would be truly grateful :)

    Kind Regards

    Bradley Ash
