Some portions of form are not showing on mobile

We just noticed that for some reason the mobile app is picking seemingly random fields & sections or portions of tabs on our forms and not displaying them. Has anyone seen this before? I have checked every field, section, tab etc. to ensure that display on phone is checked and they are.

    Hi,

    have you already checked in settings -> customizations -> customize the systems, if for the relevant entities (e.g. contact) separate mobile forms exist?

    Usually by default there is a standard form (Information) and a separate mobile form.

    Hi Thomas - The strange thing is that the fields that are missing are on the entity that I'm trying to display, not a related entity.

    Hi,

    I didn't mention a related entity.

    I just asked weither you possibly have separate forms for normal web client (default form, usually called Information) and a separate form for mobile, where these fields are not present.

    Hello -

    I can think of 2 things that could contribute to this.  First, the default system settings allow for the mobile app (assuming you are talking about the new app and not the old express app) to display up to 75 fields, 5 tabs and I think 10 lists.  So, if you have a particularly large form, with more than 5 tabs and 75 fields, the "excessive" tabs and fields won't be displayed.  There is a way to change those settings, but I think they are set that way for optimal performance.  I have one form that exceeded the limits so I simply re-ordered the form slightly to make sure the items which were most critical to see in the mobile app were there.

    Since you mention the behavior seems random, it could be the form order.  The mobile app will only display the form you set as first in the form order in customizations.  I'm wondering if your form order is causing you to see a form other than the one you expect to see or use most in the web app.  Incidentally, I have a case were 2 different groups need to see different forms, so I was able to work with this by limiting one group to be excluded from being able to see the first form through form security, so, by default, the form order shows them the second form in the mobile app since they can't see the first.

    I had a similar "issue" when trying to view a mobile form once I customized a few things. I noticed right away that the amount of fields are truncated to only show a max amount, which exceeded the fields I placed. I did as Jill/busybell stated, and moved the pertinent fields to the top of the form to ensure those take priority.

    The next thing I noticed were that some of the lookup fields I had weren't showing. The fields I needed were made to have field security on them, so I thought of that being the first point of trouble shooting, assuming the mobile form may not show field secure fields by default or something.

    After digging a little more, the answer to my issue was very simple...... The mobile form viewing mode only shows fields that actually contain data. The fields I added were new, so nothing had populated data there yet - hence them not showing. Once you choose the edit icon at the bottom of the form, and scroll through, the fields are there. Just empty. If you have security role to change that field, you are allowed to view and modify. They're read-only otherwise.

    Just a quick add to this, as it was the only forum post close to my issue. Maybe it can help others in the future.

    For Dynamics365 CRM app for mobile,

    My only first 2 tabs are visible. Although all tabs are available for mobile as well as set to default visible.

    Does anyone have any idea?
