This is in reference to my previous thread - https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/117/p/121946/258398.aspx#258398

The issue was that the configuration wizard would fail when trying to initialize the organization.

I went down many many roads trying to solve this issue (thank you to the community for help).  Eventually I had to reach out to tech support from JourneyTeam.  After a little while of trying different things we found that my windows credentials (stored on my local machine) were not getting put through correctly when trying to logon to the organization.  What was happening was that my local machine domain was somehow being used for the credential - even though I had stored my windows server credential in my credential manager.  I had tried removing this credential and restoring it, but this did not solve the problem.  We continued to see the logon error on the server side showing that the domain requested was my local machine, not the windows server.

SOLUTION - Remove all windows credentials, including the CRM website one (generic) - load CRM website - when credentials are asked for - STORE THEM.  For some reason (unkown) this now worked when running configuration wizard, even though the stored credentials in credential manager were the exact same.  Unknown why this worked, but it did.

ENORMOUS thanks go to JourneyTeam for their patience is solving this for me quickly.  We are small organization and spending money on IT is just not possible, so expedience was necessary.

Could the reason be that Windows has a hard time storing domain\UserName due to the length?  Or it might be a text format issue.  It looks the same to the naked eye but to Windows it's totally different.  Like "Heat Vision".  We all look the same to the naked eye but if you view us in thermal mode we're different.

If you let Windows do the work then it accepts the setting.  It's one of those weird quirks of Windows.

Thanks for this fix - I was getting nowhere before this.

One other thing - even before I got this far I had to run the cmdkey command specified at http://msft-crm.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/microsoft-dynamics-crm-for-outlook.html in order to put the required generic credential in the credential store (I needed the generic credential for initial connection to the instance to select the organization and the windows credential to synch the organization.
