We are researching setting up server side sync to replace email router. Our Dynamics CRM environment is hosted locally while out exchange is a hybrid environment with mailboxes Online with the account local. On tech net I see instruction for setting up CRM (on premise) to both exchange online and exchange on premise. Which instruction set should I follow in this scenario?

I am having difficulty downloading the connector. I get a message that I cant add it to our existing subscription, and it wants me to create a new account with CC info, etc. Also, the page is calling it the "Dynamics 365 Hybrid Connector (GCC), which I was told is the government specific connector so I cant download it.

I found at least these scripts complete however the other part of the puzzle was to install AD Connect. It appears to be free and you just download it and it starts syncing your local AD with the Azure AD for O365.
There is still a bug in the Dynamics App for Outlook in so far as it is relying on IE and wont authenticate correctly but I am sure eventually MS will get it right.

The Microsoft KBs I've seen suggest we need to expose our Internal CRM to public internet. Seems overkill just to get point-to-point SSS and Exchange Online connectivity. Is this correct or just some confusion in the documentation?
We're also having this issue. The link from Aric does not seem to work now. Anybody have any guidance on this?

I have already seen that we need to fill out some info related to your bank account or credit card to get it, but I wanted first check if it fits to my CRM environment.
