Electronic Reporting ER : How to add Line Feed to Trailer Record?

Hello All,

I have a custom ER Solution, where Data Model and Format Model are created from scratch.  The output file is of Text Format.  Please see below screenshot for how I have the basic Format Setup:

I have a requirement for Header Records, Detail Records and Trailer Records all to end with Line Feed.   When the output file is viewed through an application like Notepad++,  the Header Record and Detail Record are automatically getting a Carriage Return (CR) and Line Feed (LF) at the end, without me doing anything special in the configuration for Header and Detail.  But the Trailer record, being the last record in the file, is not ending with Line Feed.

Please see below screenshots to see how I setup Header, Detail and Trailer nodes of TYPE SEQUENCE.   Same properties for all 3 records sequences.

Can you please help me what property on the Trailer Sequence node in the ER Config, which will make the Trailer Record also end with Line Feed?

Thank you.

    Hi RaghuD3FO,

Did you try using char(10) in the formula?

    Please check the old thread:community.dynamics.com/.../dynamics-footer-on-my-electronic-reporting

    Hi Will,

That worked, thank you.    I had seen that old thread but thought it was talking specifically for Excel-Output file.  And also not sure whether to include the LineFeed as an additional Node beneath the Trailer node.   I created it as a String-type field under the Trailer record-sequence and in Formula Editor entered CHAR(10) and it worked.

    Thank you,

    Raghu.
