Automatically apply customer payment to future dated invoice

We have the need to automatically apply customer payments to an invoice that is dated on a future posting date. The company is a subscription business (using an extension for recurring billing). The issue we have is that invoices are generated on the 20th of one month and posted on the 1st of the following month to allow time for statements to be mailed to subscribers. Every month, some subscribers will pay the new invoice prior to the invoice's actual date (ie a customer may pay on February 28, but the invoice isn't dated until March 1), which prevents the /Apply To Oldest/ from processing. I found where this filter is being applied in Codeunit 12 but there is nothing to subscribe to nearby to remove this filter and allow the application. Has anyone else run into this problem and come up with a solution? The payments are being applied via the cash receipts journal and all of the customers are set to apply to oldest. If the payment is made after the posting date of the invoice, everything works as expected.

Automatically apply customer payment to future dated invoice

Another option - post the payments without applying them to a specific invoice. Afterwards, create a processing report that mass applies unapplied payments/invoices to each other based on apply to oldest. Once a payment and invoice are both posted, the system allows you to apply them even if the payment posting date is before the invoice date.
