I am working on a custom fetch XML report for Dynamics 365. I created a basic report within CRM and then downloaded the rdl.
Now i want to make change in design and some fields and related entities. so i am modifying fetch XML query. when i modify fetch xml and and click on "Refresh Fields" or "Query Designer" it gives me below error.
I have done same activity multiple times before on previous version and never face any issue. Please help. i am on my delivery deadlines and don't know any way around.
Below is my Dynamics 365 version info. Please not i have also done tls1.2 provision in fiddler too.
Thanks in Advance.
Hi Ahmed,
Check your Connection String. If you have multiple CRM Organization select the right organization.Provide the credentials and login relevant organization.
I have downloaded rdl from an existing CRM report. i assume the connection information is already inside. I have done similar thing in previous version without touching connection
Also we only have single organization which is Sandbox for development only.
Although i tried changing the URL and credentials but its also not working.
Honestly when I encounter these types of errors, create a new data source, double check your connection string, make sure fiddler is up to date and running, and then on your dataset replace the datasource to the new one you just created.
