Team members unable to view shared views

Hi guys,

I created a custom dashboard with some custom view and charts specific to see only Team member's activities etc, however even after sharing everything, only the Administrator of the Team can view everything. Even myself cannot view the team specifics even though I created them and am part of the team.

Basically, only the administrator of our team can view our team's chart/views when we want all team members to be able to see it.

I think the reason is because I have team member license whereas the administrators have full user, but my purpose is to create the dashboard so team members can view all the team stuff.

Thank you for your help!

    Hi Showbiz,

There are no specific limitations in Dynamics 365 for Team Members.  Really this is controlled by the organizations that are using Team Member licenses and setting up the security roles to follow the details outlined in the licensing guide.

Also you mentioned Dynamics CRM 3.0?  Is this really that version or is that a mistake?  Is this Dynamics 365 Online?

Please review the following on example of sharing with a team:  ledgeviewpartners.com/.../sharing-personal-views-dynamics-crm

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Drew,

Thanks again for assisting. Sorry, I am using Dynamics 365 online, but my issue still persists. I am a team member licensed with System Customizer role and created a "Team" that I am the administrator for and I also created a personal view for the "Team" within the dashboard, however, I cannot see those views that I created for the "Team". But when I make our Full User licensee as the "Team" Administrator, they are able to see all the views and dashboard that I created for the "Team" after I share it with them.

    Hi Showbiz,

Overall long term you should not be able to have System Customizer with Team Member license (as far as I understand).

    To your issue though:

    1.  Are you able to see your personal view outside of the dashboard (i.e. in the entity view)?

    2.  Did you share with the team or with the individuals on the team.  I think you need to share with the team

    Sorry if this isn't helping.

Hi Drew, as yes, it works now, we forgot to share our custom views with the team! However, the OOB view "My Team Member's Activities" can only still be viewed by the Team Administrator, is it not possible to share it with the team to see??

Actually, Drew, I think the purpose is for manager's to view their team members activity, thus only the Team "Admin" can do so. Correct me if I am wrong though.

    Much thanks for your help!

Take a look at the definition of that view but I expect that is by design.  Please verify solution if this helped.  Thanks!
