Changing Province or State field to County

Hi all

I'm playing with our new vanilla CRM installation. I want to change the "State or Province" field in the address box of the Account form to the "Address 1: County" field, as we use Counties here in the UK.

However when I edit the Account form in the Account Entity, the address box is empty. I can add fields but can't see the default ones, and certainly can't remove them. This is in the new layout type.

Any suggestions on how I can make the install a bit more UK centric? I have tried changing the name of the "address1_stateorprovince" field to show "Address 1: County" which seems fine, but as there is a County field already I feel I should use that instead.

Olly

    Hi Olly,

Since both solutions would require you modifying how the various forms look that's what I would focus on is simply removing the state or province field and making sure that the county field is surfaced.  Mostly because it heads of a number of potential issue for you down the road and you would have to do the form work anyways.

    Hi,

I am assuming you are referring to the new unified interface where the composite address fields are displayed individualy. This is by dsign as UI doesn't support composite fields. You can remove the composite field from the form and place the field you like. Once you remove the composite address, you will not see the default fields.

    Hope this helps.
