Hello,
If you are using Business Central Online (Saas) then you can also fill the Journal by Edit in Excel option.
Please follow below steps.
1) Export template in excel by Edit in Excel option
2) Once the template get exported in Excel. you can fill the data and click on publish to push the data into Business central.
Note: You may need to provide BC login credentials in excel add in.

Saurabh

Yes, you can copy from General Journals to Excel first, and then add the rows in the excel, and then copy all the rows directly back to BC.
For example:
[View:/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/758/Example0622.mp4:1024:768]
The configuration worksheet same as the package but it contains just a single table and its link with the configuration package.
For copy-paste you need to have same column in excel and business central. Also include an empty column in excel if you have any empty field in lines in business central.
I hope it helps.
Thank you, I have tried the configuration packages but it doesn't seem to work - unless I am doing something wrong. Never heard of worksheets, how does that work? Also copy/paste doesn't seem to work either?
Hi Adellek1,
I hope you are doing well. You can use a configuration package or worksheet to import or export the data from an excel sheet.
You can also use copy-paste functionality from Excel to Business Central.
