Hie. I am trying to solve the problem of users with custom security roles to access the Dynamics 365 App. On my list of security role privileges, there are no buttons to enable the Custom Control, Custom Control Resource and Custom Control Default Config according to technet.microsoft.com/.../dn531128.aspx This is how its supposed to be like:

But here is how mine looks like, as in there is actually no buttons for enabling the privileges:

Can you help, I would like to enable these so that users with this custom security role can access the CRM for Mobile

Regards.

JC

If I'm not mistaken - you must do this only if you upgrade solution from 2015 and earlier and have some "custom sec.roles".

This means that all standard roles will get "read" permissions by default, and if you create new custom roles in version 2016 and above, this role will get "read" permission by default

    Tks for your replay...

I-m working with an online CRM server, so I dont know where my issue comes from :(

I-ve already added a lot of rights in the Role settings...  But I-m still facing the same error. (and I though it was for the missing rights on this question)

    Any ideas?

    Have you tried this?

Yes I did...  But same error shows up

I used to have different errors.. but then I added the rights requried and then it started to show that error.  (Have no idea what-s missing)

Are you trying to enable mobile App for a specific custom security role? Have you tested this on the out-of-the-box roles security roles?

Yes, this error is for a custom role. Once I add an admin role to the user it start to work. *but of course I need it to work with only the new role.  ( I already activate the mobile options in the settings, with the entities needed and their read rights for each one)

Well,a t least you can be sure that this is an permission issue:D

Check whether this role has permissions to some basic enteties and components like connections, dashboards, notes etc. Hard to tell. You can also try to copy one of the standard security roles and just adjust it for your requirements.

yes, I-m playing with that. Giving read access to some  entities, but with no lucky so far.

    Tks for your help
