Applying background color to rows in sub grid in supported/unsupported ways

Hi team,

We have to apply the background color to rows in sub grid but not able to find out any resources for version 8.2/9.0.

we are able to apply colors to Views but when we have taken the same view in sub grid it's not giving coloring so can any one of you suggest what could the best approach for this issue.

Not sure if you want to purchase a solution, but take a look at CRM Grid Plus:

http://crmgridplus.com/

It might provide you the requirements that you have.

I am not affiliated with company nor have used their product, but maybe something that is worth exploring.

Hi Nagaraj,

Changing background color is not supported in Microsoft dynamics CRM so I would suggest use custom HTML webresource to implement third party grid like jquery easy UI or kendo grid which will work dynamics crm future release as well.

But if you directly customize OOB grid then it might not work in future release.

So think twice before use any unsupported customization.

Hi Goutam Thanks for the reply,

I need a work around to implement this in OOB Sub grid i am able to do this for View but didn't find any method to apply it for Sub grid so please suggest if you have any idea.

Hi Nagaraj,

Only subgrid header can be colored using out of the box functionality. other than this is unsupported. take a look on my blog : rawishblog.wordpress.com/.../color-subgrid-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm-365
