I have a new payroll/HR implementation that when I build checks and calculate the CT taxes are calculating incorrectly. I have manually calculated the tax per the state requirements/tables and GP is just wrong. Has anyone seen this? if so how can it be corrected.

Yes, we use Smart Connect or eConnect for older versions.
i am having similar issues, but not until the December checks were issued.. withholding went from around $8.00 to $100. how do i explain this to employees?
Hi Robert,
Susan is correct CT had a tax change this year, 2012. This made us change our code and tax table, so both need to be updated for CT.
Check out our table listed below to tell when it is a table update and a code update.
This is all noted in our tax PDF as well.

Let me know if you still have issues, thanks

1. Make sure you have the latest download on the Payroll Taxes installed. If not go out and download.
2. You can always go to Tools>>Setup>>System>>Payroll Tax and enter in CT and then by going to the filing status you can see the payroll tables behind and make changes as necessary.
Also when you are out on the latest downloads you should be able to see the date of the last download.
The latest CT tax update for GP2010 and 10 was issued on 4/25/2012. This was Round 5 of the tax updates for this year.
They are now up to Round 6 that was issued on 06/27/2012.
These updates can be found in CustomerSource where you can login and download and then update your Great Plains System.
