Hi All,

Has anyone got a list of functionality differences and/or use cases for Edit in Excel vs Configuration packages in BC cloud?

Thanks

Edit in excel works off web services so for large volumes across many fields with a lot of validation I don’t get speed. However with configuration packages you import a static excel for multiple tables. Edit in Excel is usually a single table.

Configuration packages offer more settings for helping to speed things up and have been designed for volume. If you get the settings right the frustrations can be subsided.

Edit in excel is good for quick changes and is not a substitute for data migration is my principal point. The reverse is applicable to configuration packages although if you cannot perform modifications I have used it for a user end to end process.
