Hi Ian,
Thanks for coming back to me - this is a strange one - it was a stepped upgrade from V6 to V2010 - all the relevant tax tables were in place and the data could be seen both via smartlist and in sql.
The VAT Daybook calender did nothing when trying to calculate it and importing the report gave a message that the import was unsuccessful. The customer had previously used the VAT 100 and all the saved returns were visible but when re-printing none of the transactions entered prior to the upgrade would show for the sales ledger, purchase ledger transactions were reporting fine.
In the end we re-loaded the VAT Daybook module which got us past the issues with that. To correct the VAT 100 we had to delete the old returns and re-build them - this corrected the problem of prior upgrade transactions not appearing but as you can imagine, caused a few headaches putting reconciled transactions back into the correct return!
End result customer is happy everything is working ok now but I just wanted to see if anyone else had had any similar type of issues like this with the Vat Daybook as a reference for the future.
