Invalid Work Template

When attempting to create a new Work template for Purchase orders, as soon as I select Purchase orders from the Work order type drop down, the system brings up an invalid error.

What is causing this? There are already 4 other work templates created.

Hi,
I tried it in the test environment and for me the work template of any work type failed to create and showed invalid. This blog told me the answer, This is because every work template must contain a pick and a put pair for it to be valid.

From the feature management docs.microsoft.com/.../feature-management-overview you can disable the feature called Grid Control.

I was having the same issue which led me to this question. The answer by Hana Xue was indeed the correct solution. Although it says invalid and it says it again once you put in the work template and work template description, you can then add lines to the work template details section with pick and put work types and it will allow you to save without the error.

It is a kind of "default error' message which always appear when you create the work template.

The error message disappears automatically when you add a line in the work template:

The solution from Hana Xue was not correct because the error for invalid appears before adding any lines.

Hi,

Did you realize that you see this error as soon as you click on the +New button. This is by design.

You also see error "Invalid - The Pick/Put pair is not valid." if you have a pick but don't have a put.

Lastly, work template headers that have no lines generate the same error. Your cursor might be focusing on the first template, which has no lines, when you select the 'Purchase Orders' dropdown.
