Variant routes in Discreet Manufacturing

Morning all,

Client is using predefined product master with versin and variants. The use a 3rd party integration to create the variants and push through to D365 F&SCM.

They have asked, the variant will require a /configured/ route to represent the variant BOM. I.e, times will be different for each variant manufactured. As far as I know, this is not automatically possible for the system to generate a configured variant route by variant BOM? This would only be possible if they were using configuration technology and product configurator.
