Problem of installing GP 2013 Workflow for Sharepoint 2010

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

I made the mistake of uninstalling the workflow. I removed the web application and site collection from sharepoint first. Then when I trying to uninstall Dynamics Workflow, it shows the error message that "The selected website is not a sharepoint site". Therefor I use the method from Mohammad R. Daoud

http://mohdaoud.blogspot.com/2011/10/dynamics-gp-workflow-installation_1803.html

I use Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove Microsoft Dynamics GP Workflow and Microsoft Dynamics GP Workflow GAC Components, then use Sharepoint Management Shell to remove the features of DynamicsApproval, DynamicsWorkflow, DynamicsWorkflow11Upgrade and DynamicsWorkflowAddCustomCo... with the command "Uninstall-SPFeature Featurename -force". After that I also use FeatureAdmin2010 to make sure that there are no these features anymore.

In order to uninstall Dynamics GP Workflow as clean as possible, I use Uninstall Tool 3.4 to remove it and now it is not in the programs and features in control panel.

However, it is still not work to reinstall the workflow. It shows the error message that

"Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\53E34584DC00AEF4982A3868C0C8DB6D\95C2A8A7C37A1B9488509E318A65D3E0. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your supportpersonnel"

when the installation process goes to copying new files.
"File:DynamicsGPWorkflowUI.en-US.resx, Directory: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\14732\App_GlobalResources\"

Where the port 14732 is the previous web application which I removed before, and I did not use this port to create the new web application. Also, I tried to add the permission of the key by using Registry Editor but it shows that "Access is Denied". My account is in the administrator group and can access all other keys but cannot access this one only.

I have spent hole week on this problem, can someone please help me? I appreciate for the help.

Howard

Do you mean you uninstall SharePoint without uninstalling Workflow first? If so you are going to want to get a new server as there is no easy way to get Workflow back on this SharePoint.
