If the project is in finished stage then only the user with Administrator role can change the staging.

 Hi All,

I have a requirement like the When the project stage is changed to Finished only a person with system administrator role can change the status again.

For this is it possible to create a workflow so that it will restrict the user to change the Stage of a project if the stage is finished.

or the best way is to create a security role which will restrict all other to use this button.

Please suggest me a solution for this requirement.

    Hello Nandhini,

    Unfortunately, there is no standard workflow available for this.

    You need to make a development to get this requirement build into Dynamics AX.

    Hi Ludwig,

    Thanks for the reply, So you mean to tell that we can create a new workflow and it will restrict the other user from changing the stage or I need to create the security role. which way I need to start working.

    Will that be possible to build this workflow without the technical guy?

    Hello Nandhini,

    For the construction of the workflow you will need a developer.

    For the access restriction you might be able to do this yourself if you are familiar with XDS. If you are not, you will also need some development help from a developer here.
