Hi Folks,

I got a requirement stating that,

customer wants to assign unique bar code to fixed asset quantity.

Ex:

In purchase invoice 100 quantity of fixed asset (desktops) are purchasing , so customer wants to assign 100 unique bar codes to attach to each fixed asset quantity.

is there any standard functionality to fulfill my requirement.

please give me suggestion, thanks in advance.

Hi Santosh,

Have you checked the fixed asset group barcode feature that allows you for example to assign a bar code that is identical to the FA number or an alternative number?

Hello Ludwig

I have created barcode sequence in FA group and it is working fine for fixed asset master. I wanted to assign barcode sequence to individual asset which we mentioned in quantity field in FA master.

Hi Santosh,

This is not supported in the standard application and you have to build it yourself.
