A check was generated on 12/12/2016. It was subsequently voided on 3/31/2017. However, a check of the GL shows a transaction date of 6/30/2016. The Journal Entry Inquiry source points back to the original transaction date of 12/12/2016. How could we correct this to ensure it is posted as of 6/30/2017?

You could do a correcting entry to reverse the 12/12/2016 entry and re-enter it as of 06/30/2017. In order to modify a GL entry that originated in a sub-module, you'll need to go to the GL Setup window and check the box to Allow 'Voiding/Correcting of Subsidiary Transactions'. Don't forget to uncheck the box after you correct your entry (if you choose to go this way).
