Merging a Lead, disqualify it as Lost Against Competition?

Hi guys,

I've received reports that when my users merge 2 records (leads) the records that won't make it, is disqualified as "Lost Against Competition". Is this by default, or is there a way to change this?

Regards,

    Hi,

This is because the first Disqualified reason is used (normally 'Lost'). I am guessing that you have that status renamed to 'Lost Against Competition'?

To change this behaviour you would need to intercept the merge using a plugin and change the value in the transaction pipeline.

Alternatively you could change this status reason to something like 'Deactivated' and add a new Disqualified reason. You would need to map all your existing values to the new value.

    Hope this helps,

    Scott

    Hi Scott,

Is not the first reason, but there is a field at bottom ob "status reason" field, and is called Default Value, there is the option that I have to change.

    Thanks!
