Task Due Dates being changed

(1) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 114

The due date is being changed for some tasks created in D365.

The users create a new task accepting the default 8:00 am and saving. Users with the D365 for Outlook app see the task as originally created in Outlook.

Later, the users notice their task has an incorrect due date when viewed in D365, in the past and outside their normal working hours. The Modified By shows the user.

These are experienced users working in a familiar process, suddenly getting different results.

The users with the Outlook app still see the due date correct in Outlook.

3 users are reporting this, there may be more affected.
They accept the default time at creation.
The time zone set in her Outlook is the same as the time zone set in her CRM personal options

The "Created by" and "Modified by" are both the same user

It does not happen to every task

A support rep believes this is due to multiple mailboxes in the system with the same email addresses.

I now have 4 users reporting the issue.  Two of them have a second, inactive mailbox with the same email address.  I have not been able to edit or remove the inactive ones yet.

For the other two users, I do not see multiple mailboxes with the same email address.  One reports previously having a different address but I no longer see that record at all in any status.

Microsoft support has escalated the issue to the dev. team.

Have there been any updates for this? I have multiple users experiencing this same issue with the Due Dates on tasks being updated as well.

    Hi Megan

This is still unresolved.  The support team has asked us to turn on auditing.

I wonder if we should put in a ticket to piggy back on your ticket. We've had auditing turned on for months on tasks now due to another issue we were having with recurring tasks. I have plenty of records we can show them.

    Thoughts?

OK - we put a ticket in as well. Case # 2104130010002897. Keep me posted with any updates and I'll do the same. Thanks!
