Adding a new report to home page 'My Reports'

ReportReport

I am trying to add a report from a series other than 'Sales'.  When I click on add report and then add manually, all that is available is the Sales Series.  I have other series reports already in My Reports, so I know it can be done, I just can't figure out how to get another series to show in the list to choose.  Can anyone help?

I would check your security roles. If I change them for a user who only has Purchasing Manager and add Accounting Manager, HR Manager and PC Project Manager they'll have a bunch of new reports added plus an additional series or two.

    I would definitely start there.

Which user do you use to add the reports, is it the "sa" ? If not, it must be a security issue as Mr. Tom indicates above

I am using my own log-in but I am setup as a 'Poweruser'.  I will have to see what that all entails.

Yea double check, if you have access to 'SA' then log in as that and check your roles, according to the definition, 'Poweruser' is supposed to have full access with a few limitations, but I've seen in different instances where it doesn't give you a whole lot.

My guess is that it could be due to third party add-ons interfering with the roles.

    Nicki,

I have found the easiest and most practical way to add reports to My Reports is to do so from the report itself.   Navigate to the report you want, configure the options you desire, and then click the My Reports button.

I probably should have mentioned that I am trying to add a smartlist link, not an actual report.  When you go to 'add report' and add manually, you can choose them.

    Hi Nicki,

All you need to do is click the series you want on the left side of the screen on the navigation lists such as Purchasing.  Next click on Smartlist Favorites. Check your favorite you want, click Add to and the give it a name.

One other thing to double check is the smartlist security, if the smartlist was created in SLB then you have to grant individual access to the smartlist. Didn't know if the SmartList was a canned report or a SLB report which security is treated in a completely different manner.

Same issue.  My user Security is Power User and Accounting Manager.  My Reports List does not contain the ADD section.  Just View, Print, etc.  The title above the list = "My Reports List (read only)".

    That answered mine.  Thanks!
