Migrating Ribbon Workbench Changes to different Environment

Hi,

I have performed few ribbon changes in my Dev machine using the Ribbon Workbench tool. If I have to move it to the higher environments, exporting and importing the entity inside a solution will work? Or will I have to redo all the changes using workbench tool in the other environment?

To deploy Ribbon related changes, 3 components to always include:

    1. Client Extensions>Application Ribbon

    2. Only Entity - adding any components is not required, just the entity.

    3. JS web resource if any used in Commands- this is optional

    Hi Ketan,

I have done some button customization in the subgrid, display/hide buttons on form and subgrid as well. I will add application ribbon and try. Thanks.

    Hi Suraj,

What type of changes you have made.?

if you have any dependent web resource like JavaScript / images then add those as well.

If you have done changes in global ribbon then add application ribbon in solution as well.

    Regards,

    Ketan

Thanks for the response. I just tried it on one entity. Moved it as a solution to higher environment. But changes are not reflecting.

Any specific web resource or anything I have to move along with the entity?

Yes, it will work. No need to do again all changes.

    Hi,

Adding entity into solution will work.

If you have made any changes in application ribbon then add that as well.

    Regards,

    Ketan
