Budgets for Statistical accounts in BC

Is there any way to set up Budgets for Statistical accounts in Business Central?
A few years back, statistical accounts were set up in the chart of accounts with alphanumeric codes (and designated with income/expense or Balance sheet) and a budget could thus be created for such lines. But it seems that this feature is now not available in BC with Statistical accounts being a totally separate feature to the chart of accounts.

Hi, Statistical account can be used in financial reports, but as appliwin123 mentioned, this cannot be used in Budget.

This is a good suggestion and I think it can be submitted to MS Ideas.
Missing a feature? Post or vote for ideas on: aka.ms/BCIdeas

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

The whole premise of statistical accounts is that they replace the use of a G/L Account set up for statistics and then using the Budget functionality to load a Budget to those accounts.

And then, instead of pulling the budget into a financial report, you would pull in the statistical account: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/bi-use-statistical-accounts#include-the-statistical-account-in-a-financial-report

this seems not possible in BC, budget only works for g/l accounts
