Power BI Dashboard not Displaying Data

Hi All,

I published a Power BI Dashboard to Dynamics 365 Project Service, but when I select the dashboard

it attempts to load data (spinning wheel) but then just goes grey and stops.

I tried a second different dashboard and its the same result (I tried this also as an embedded report

in an iframe on a standard dashboard and it works).

I tried it with allow everyone security and then custom security but it didn't make a difference.

We have the relevant licenses for viewing.

When I click "open in Power BI" it opens fine without issue.

The report was built in Power BI using the Odata api connection to D365. It was then published to Power BI

online and added to a dashboard, all of this works.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jason

Are you adding it as a personal dashboard or an embedded system dashboard?

    Hi,

    Added as a system dashboard.

Only things I can think of is making sure everyone has pro/premium as license and that they can access the PBI workspace where the report is. Hopefully someone here with more PBI knowledge will pick this up.

    Hi Jason,

when it is working in the Power BI Service i would think it is an authentication issue.

Here is a full docu how to Setup Power BI as an Dashbaord:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../configure-customer-service-analytics-dashboard

Maybe one little step is missing.

    Thanks, that's excellent

    It started working today!

Both Power BI Dashboards came to life today, I checked them this morning and data was showing, so sadly that means

haven't a clue what the solution is!

I didn't do anything to them, so could it have been some kind of system change or maybe

    a system refresh overnight?

    Great news.

from time to time it is like some magic and after diggin into the problem,

a good resolution is, wait for a day. There may be some updates running

    or service downtimes.

Now you could only check in the Health portal if there was some downtime

in a service and verify if there was any update running in your dynamics environment

taking a look at system=>solution history using "all solution" view.

But at the very end, it is working.
