How server side sync works?

Hi,

I am just trying to understand the behaviour. We are using a queue to send emails to the customer from Dynamics 365. What I noticed is that these emails do not appear in the actual exchange mailbox. Is this normal behaviour? How can I make this available in actual mailbox so our users can monitor the mailbox and also forward emails in case if required?

This article explains how server-side synchronization works.

Server-side synchronization is the preferred option for organizations with users who run model-driven apps in Dynamics 365, such as Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service, in a web browser or on a mobile device, such as a tablet or smartphone. Server-side synchronization provides direct apps-to-email server synchronization. When you use Exchange, this includes bi-directional synchronization of email, contacts, tasks, and appointments.

Hi,

Are you sure that the emails are not in exchange? Have you checked the correct mailbox mentioned in the queue?

No. None are there. That's why I am asking here to understand the full concept.

The emails are being received by the recipients and they are appearing in exchange logs but nothing is being synced to the mailbox sent folder. I am not sure if this is a correct behaviour.
