Hi!

How can I see a list of serial numbers on hand and the serial numbers that have been reserved?

When I open sales quote line or sales order line and go into Item Tracking Lines, and click the ellipsis next to Serial No, I see the the information I need. However, when looking at the corresponding table, the Entry Summary table (338), the table is empty. The Entry Summary is a temp table.

I need to find the correct source to pull a list of serial numbers in the system and the serial numbers that have already been reserved.

    why dont you look at the item ledger entry table. here you can get the item serial number wise ledger entry and where remaining qty is 1 are available in inventory. now if any serial number is reserved then you will also get the reserved qty from the same table against the ledger line.

    The source for the Entry Summary table is Item Ledger Entry table, it has the serial no. information

    Hi Saurabh,

    Thanks for the quick reply.  The item ledger shows the quantity and the remaining quantity, but it does not show a reserved quantity, so this table will not work for me.  I need to see the quantity reserved on an unposted quote or order.

    Hi Suresh,

    Thanks for the reply, but the Item Ledger Entry table does not show reserved serial numbers.  Imagine you're selling a serialized item.  If there are two on hand, but one serial number already exists on a sales order or sales quote, I need a way of seeing that there are two serial numbers on hand, but only one available to promise.

    If you want to see the reserved serial no. then you need to check reservation entry table.

    Yes, I think I will need to use the Item Ledger Entry table, and remove the serial number currently in the Item Reservation table.  Thanks.
