SQL server log on fails after restart

Hello

I know this is not a direct GP question but more of an SQL server question but I have an issue. When the server computer restarts the SQL service will not auto restart even though its set to automatic. If you try to start it after a restart it will error out saying logon failed.

To fix it you just need to go into services, click on the SQL service, click log on and blank out the password and hit ok. The server will then start.

The account its under is network service and not sure what is different on this computer where the password needs to be reset after each restart.

Maybe try to create a domain service account with a non-expiring password and let the SQL service run under that?

    ex. domain\SQLService

Let SQL run under that, as long as the password is set to never expire, you'll be fine.

Use the Configuration Manager to make any changes: msdn.microsoft.com/.../ms174212.aspx
