    Hi,

though I normally do not recommend this, I use SQL to change the item type to Discontinued.

    kind regards

Will these steps amount to discontinuance of a Kit

    1) Uncheck contractible at item extensions – this will avoid item number generate a service contract from Sales Order Processing automatically.

    Additional >> Service Extensions

    2) At item engineering set status of the item to inactive

    3) Create a item class call discontinued.  Set the item type at the class to discontinued.  Assigned the discontinued class to the KIT

Let me know if this will take care of your requirement.

    Thanks

    Sanjay
