Cycle count by item location

Hello all,

    How can I run an inventory report for specific locations so we can spot check for accuracy without running a full blown inventory ? 

Dynamics NAV Classic

    Sean,

    If you are looking for a simple Inventory report you can run any report, by Location. If you setup Bin Code, you can add that Filter to be more finite in your data selection. You can also run a Bin Listing and filter there as well.

    Just make sure you enter the filter for Location Code. You can see this field on say the Inventory Valuation report.

    Now if you truly want to Cycle Count, I would setup your Phys Invt. Counting Periods, which defines how many times you want to count an Item (enter this code on the Item Card). You can run the Physical Inventory Journals and run Calculate Inventory and filter by Location. Then you can print the Journal so you can Cycle Count.

    Hi, I think you can try using Phys. Inventory Journal. (Sorry I don't have a lot of test data,)

    That's because you have the ability to do Physical Inventory Orders. You should review the documentation as these are pretty cool.

    Thank you, 365 looks very different to NAV Classic when trying to follow the steps.

    When you do physical inventory you can filter on the location you want to do inventory for.
