FRx Historical Rates..

Our client has just started to use FRx to consolidate their financial statement for their many operations around the world. Their Reporting Currency is Canadian Dollars. They are just starting the process of translating their Australian Operation and US operation in their respective Functional Currencies and using Currency Translator in FRx translating and consolidating the Balance Sheet to Canadian Dollars. They are getting an error message that states that the Historic Rate on a certain row is not defined in FRx Rate Maintenance. The historic rate does exist along with the correct balance matching the credit balance in the GL. Anyone seen this before and any suggestions what might cause this?

I do see there is a defect in the software if you are using a row modifier along with CCHIST. Please make sure this is not the case.

Also, make sure the rate in the dax table is on or before the date specified for the report date. A rate must be defined that is on or before the report date or any date that may be pulled in the report. If there is not a rate for the exact month the report date is run you can also add this rate.

You will also need to make sure that you have a historical rate defined for coverting from AUS to CAD and USD to CAD.
a. Make sure Currency Translation is on in the column.
b. Make sure each company has a Function Currency set in the Company Information window.
c. Make sure the currency translator options are set in the catalog report options.
d. Make sure CCHIST is selected in the row and the associated rate id is assigned.

Issues like this have also occurred due to report damage. You may need to re-create each building block to take care of the issue.
