HI @Martin Dráb , @André Arnaud de Calavon ;

      I searched about , how to import .bak file(database file) into unified development environment, but I didn't find any blogs related to my query.

      Is it possible to import .bac file into UDE ?? if possible how can we achieve it ??

Regards,
 Charan.

    As of today, it is not supported either way, as listed below:
    1) importing bacpac to UDE
    2) Exporting Bacpac from UDE
    I can guess what you are trying to do there; you want to take database backup from a LCS hosted environment into UDE.

    HI @Sohaib Cheema ,

    I have exported bac file from cloud hosted VM, I want to import this bac file into UDE.

    I do understand what you want to do.
    As I said that is not possible as of today. It is not supported by Microsoft.

    Hi Charan,

    Sohaib already mentioned that this is unsupported. The reason is that a UDE environment not only has the AXDB as a database. It also has data for Dataverse. There is a connection between these databases. While importing a bacpac, it will lose important connection information. While copying a PPAC environment it copies both the environment and the databases. Then it resets the connection details. This last step is missing if you would be able to import a bacpac only.

    As a possible and cumbersome workaround, you can restore data in an LCS Sandbox (Tier2+), then copy the environment in PPAC to your UDE. After that you might need to apply Dynamics 365 updates in case the UDE was on a higher version. Also, you need to deploy ISV and customizations again.
