ReportGood morning all! My boss has a ton of contacts local to his Outlook that he would like to get into CRM. I am hoping to find the best way to proceed that minimizes the amount of effort for my boss. The solutions I've thought of include:
- Export the local Outlook contacts he selects to Excel, then import them into CRM. The problem with this approach is that when the Outlook CRM plugin first syncs, it creates duplicates of all of his Outlook contacts (one local version, one CRM version). This would require him going through and deleting each local Outlook contact where a CRM duplicate is found.
- Have my boss go through each local Outlook contact and sync it to CRM if he wants it in CRM. This would be a pain because it would go line by line, but probably the same amount of effort as #1.
Ideally, I'm hoping there is some way that when contacts come into Outlook from CRM, if the names match, the local Outlook record becomes linked to the CRM record without a duplication. Is there some way to do this or some strategy on approaching this that could perhaps minimize the effort required?
