How do i implement and process technician location on field service application?

Scenario is that i would like to automatic capture the distance and time travelled by the technician automatically on the field. On top of that , i would like to save a map detailing the route taken by the technician.

Hi Adrian,

This is what i'm using currently. However it is system calculated and what I needed is the actual distance , time and route taken. On reality, technicians will detour for various reason. Is there a way I can capture the numbers live ?

Hi Lee Hsiang Tan,

You can get the time value by calling the Bing Web API from Plugin or JavaScript code. Documentation on how to calculate a route is available here.

To overlay a route on a static map by using the Imagery API, see Get a Static Map.
