    Hi Kareem,

Thanks for your update. Note that Record Level Security has been deprecated. It is still available in AX 2012, but XDS is the option which is also available in Dynamics 365 (RLS not).

    Hi Kareem,

As mentioned, you can achieve this with Extensible Data Security (XDS). You need to determine which project groups needs to be restricted and how to link this to the users. Is it based on a property on the project group or do you want to setup a list per user?

You can read my blogs about XDS to get some more thoughts for options: dynamicspedia.com/.../xds. Some blogs do have examples which can be freely downloaded for your learning.

    Hi KareemTaima,

You would need XDS for that purpose.

XDS will take a while for you to configure and setup.

If it is not absolutely needed, I would recommend not using it mainly because of the time and effort needed to setup properly.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi KareemTaima,

Are you looking  to restrict users to view the project group Ids in Project accounting and management > Setup area?

In that case, please check extensible data security policies
