We have implemented AX2012 as our central ERP solution and have no doubt it should be the repository for static data but is it suitable to be used as a DAM? Does anyone have experience of using AX in this way?

We are keen to have centralised control and approval of content for the web, offline, call centre etc and avoid storing data in multiple places.

Hi Katie,

With help of the document management it should be possible. I think you need some customization for e.g. the content records, approval, etc. You can also have a look at the knowledge base of Case management in AX.

But I think a SharePoint based solution might be better? Are you intending to use the content within AX itself?
