Update standard cost prices based on purchase price list

Normally I update standard cost prices in BC by using Standard Cost Worksheet and then exporting the items to Excel. In Excel I merge the Worksheet with values from the Purchae Price List on each item. This just seems like a cumbersome way to do it. Can BC not itself somehow pick up the prices from the Purchase Price List and if in another currency then use the currency table to convert to local currency?

I don’t believe this functionality is available out of the box. This is likely because the standard cost is usually a more comprehensive calculation than comparing it to the purchase cost. However, a developer could customize a report, such as the 'Adjust Item Costs/Prices,' to adjust the standard cost based on the cost in the purchase price list.

for your reference on standard cost. Since the stand cost includes several components including material cost, capacity cost, possibly subcontractor cost, user needs to manually calculate and decide on the standard cost.
