Anyone develop a workaround for SaaS recurring subscription billing & management?

Here is a summary of the common elements needed for a subscription billing management process:

Automated Recurring Billing — set up a recurring order under multiple frequencies. Options for setting up contracts a plus. Feed Business Central for billing.
Invoice and Customer Statement emails — Customers of SAAS offerings expect invoices to be received via email. (We prefer emails to be sent via customer service email account rather than finance)
Integrated Credit Card & ACH Processing — Electronic payment methods for SAAS-based subscriptions. An end-to-end solution where credit cards and ACH payments are processed within business central.
Reports.

A workaround or solution or App is desired.

Hi Chris,

I came across this post a little late but thought I'd reply nonetheless. Binary Stream offers a Subscription Billing solution for Business Central that sets up a contract, manages recurring and complex billing with different billing frequencies per line level, and can help with the revenue allocation/recognition. We create the invoices to be emailed and have multiple reports to improve visibility into revenue, forecast, contracts, etc.

I recently got a chance to work on a similar scenario. I used the following resources from partner source. It has a guide and demo code as well. You can just tweak the demo and have it work as per your requirements. There's a complete video available on Youtube that gives you a complete walkthrough of the demo I just mentioned.

Stumbled over this 1+ year old since we are looking to connect our Dynamics 365 for Sales & Marketing with a new SaaS based finance system preferable Dynamics 365 based.

We sell a SaaS based product and have the same challenges as above in regards to recurring subscription management and it doesn't looks like an out of the box functionality in Business Central nor in Fin&Ops today? We also need to have an automated solution for price indexing when the price list is adjusted typically yearly.

Hi Freddy,

As my colleague Peyton mentioned upthread, the Binary Stream solution is embedded within both BC and F&O, and it will allow you to setup billing schedules which can incorporate one-time items, items with differing frequencies (e.g. a monthly hosting subscription, plus an quarterly service call). We also support an indexed price update utility, where prices on a contract can be updated according to an external factor. Most commonly this is tied to the CPI, but it could utilize any index you choose.
