Account, Contact and Lead buttons disabled in CRM Outlook client

We have a customer with CRM 2015 Online with CRM Outlook client 2015. They experience that all the users Account, Contact and Lead buttons in the CRM section seems to be disabled, in that nothing happens when they try to create an Account Contact or Lead. They do not receive an error message or any indication of an error. Moreover, they do not have a problem creating Accounts, Contacts and Leads online, so it does not seem likely to be a connection or permission issue (although they have experienced some performance issues). All of the other CRM buttons seems to work. Any Ideas, anyone?

    I don't have much experience with CRM Outlook Client. Are the buttons visible or just disabled ? Try this social.microsoft.com/.../hiding-buttons-in-crm-2011-outlook-client

    Are you using any third party addon ? If yes pls disable and check it.

    Hello Rolig ,

    Thank you for your detailed explanation.

    Wanted to know if by disabled you mean greyed out in outlook

    As for testing purposes we can try to disable all the plugins from

    Files-->Options-->Addins

    except the 2 Microsoft dynamics plugin and

    the Microsoft exchange plugin.

    Then restart the outlook and see if the CRM options are accessible

    Also you may have a look on to the previous discussion going in the community

    And you may try the response from kevinmcintyre

    Hello Bhartendu,

    Thank you for your answer.

    I did see the previous community discussion, but there the issue seems to be that the entire crm ribbon is disabled. In this case all the other buttons are functional, it's only the (create) Account, Contact and Lead buttons that are not working.

    The three buttons in questions are grey, but so are the same buttons on my local Outlook crm client and they are still functional.

    I will instruct the customer to try out your suggestions, and report back if he made any progress.
