Hi!
I run the Outstanding Sales Order Status report and open it in Excel. It has an outrageous amount of columns!
To get the usable data, I have to unhide all of the columns. Delete A-L, then C-AB and K-Y, then delete everything L and after. What could go wrong? ;)
I need the sales order date, sales order #, customer #, part#, part quantity and price with discount.
Is there a better report for this? Do filters reduce the column count?
I appreciate your input!
Have a great day,
Lisa
Hi, Although this is not a Report, I think you can try the following method.
Thanks.

Hi
I never seen that error before. But as far as you have permission for Web Service and tables used in ODATA you should be fine. Have you tried other ODATA to see if you can open them?
Also, as Mr Bruvik mentioned you can try export to Excel and try. Or just ask admin/developer to create a new report.
Hi Lisa,
For this particular report i think you will need a developer to fix it. You might also have an admin that is able to develop this for you.
Making that report more useful in Excel should not be a very big tasks unless you already have other customization that must be considered.
It is also possible to do a direct export to Excel so you do not have to go the way around using a report.
Let us know if you admin / developer needs some input on that.
Hello Inge,
Are the customized reports within BC able to be edited by a user or would it need to be a developer or admin?
Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post.
Lisa
Hello MahGah,
I tried ODATA, but received an error: Unable to Connect. Details: "OData: The given URL neither points to an OData service or a feed."
On the Web Services screen, I copied the OData URL by right clicking on it. I get the same error whether it's a query or a page. Hmm.
I don't have admin level in BC, do I need it to run this?
Thank you for taking the time!
Lisa
Hi
As Mr Bruvik mentioned you can customize the report in BC to only show columns you need.
Also, you can use Power BI
The other method is to use ODATA/Excel and create a report you need in Excel and refresh that report. See below
Also, you can see below as an example of Power Automation.
Totally agree with you.
The standard reports for this is not very good for exporting to Excel.
I usually end up doing customized reports either native BC reports or Power BI reports for this need.
So doing that will be my suggestion to you.
